Cruise Holidays of Wichita is owned and operated by Sharon & Joe Bye. We joined Cruise Holidays because of our passion for cruising. It wasn’t always that way. We were hard to convince when considering our first cruise. It took our friends a few years to convince us to go with them on one of the many cruises they would take. We had the same fears and concerns that we now hear every day. We were afraid of becoming bored and being on a rigid schedule that did not fit what we liked to do. We didn't want to be stuck in a closet on a boat out in the middle of nowhere, with a bathroom so small we could sit on the toilet while brushing our teeth and taking our shower. We finally gave in and went on that "First Cruise". We found it to be our "Best Vacation Ever". We became fanatical. Sharon’s favorite reading material became the cruise brochures. We used Cruise Holidays of Topeka for our cruises and became well acquainted with the owners. Sharon asked Kathy (owner of the Topeka store) if it was possible to become addicted to cruising. Kathy’s reply was that Sharon was the proof. 
We always wanted our own business. We were so impressed with the Cruise Holidays organization. It was the logical choice. The door of opportunity opened when the kids left home and we were ready for a change. Sharon left a career of 18 years and opened Cruise Holidays of Wichita. Business was good. Our goal was to offer personal, professional service with an uncommon agency atmosphere. We knew we had achieved our goal when clients began to remark that we are so different from other agencies. We take pride in having a relaxed unhurried atmosphere in our office and over the phone. We take the time to learn what is important to our clients and then find possibilities that fit the desired experience. 
We changed to unconventional hours of operation. We are open seven days a week during the first quarter of the year then close weekends the rest of the year. We use weekends to set appointments out of the office. Yes we do "House Calls". We meet with small groups at a member’s home. We join them for dinner or just a casual get-together. We talk to the group about vacation options or just to deliver and review tickets for the trip they have already booked. We have found this to be fun for us and very beneficial to the group.
Nine months after opening our doors, Sharon could no longer do it alone. We interviewed numerous applicants and could not find anybody who shared our high standards. Finally, we found the solution. Joe left his job and joined Sharon. It was pretty scary at first. We worked many years together at our previous place of employment. However, this wasn’t the same.
We now have many years in the business and know we wouldn’t have it any other way and we still Luv2Cruise.
